My Story
Sweetie is a poodle and was rescued from an animal shelter after being abandoned after her owner passed away. She was fostered, but the foster either dumped her or she was allowed to run away. She suffers from congestive heart failure and inflammation of the lungs and kidney issues and was not expected to live more than 30-60 days. She was in a catatonic state at the shelter – non responsive to touch, sound or sight. Her first moments in the House of Love were running and running with absolute joy and happiness. It was an incredible moment for everyone. She has been in a safe and loving place, with medical care, and has survived for 21 months beyond her expected death date.
